{Kristin & Justin: Engagement}

On a recent Sunday afternoon, I spent some time with my niece, her fiance, and their adorable dogs making their engagement photos at a local park.  I adore my niece....adore.  And so I was especially excited to enjoy the afternoon with them and to be part of this!  We had so much fun...  We found some beautiful yellow flowers, talked wedding dresses, and watched as the dogs became frenzied with all the spring smells.  It was a good day and we're really lucky to have Justin joining our family! Thanks for spending the afternoon with me and welcome to the family  Justin!  xoxo    

{Mark & Elizabeth: Engagement}

On a warm and sunny evening last week, I photographed Mark & Elizabeth at the home of a family friend.  What an incredibly sweet couple!  I loved watching how kind they are with one another...and goofy!  I really enjoyed our time together!  And I'm thankful Elizabeth is so laid back (I still feel badly about the wasp sting!)  ...she's a trooper!

Mark proposed to Elizabeth by writing her a song and I was lucky to be present 

this night as he broke out his guitar and played a bit for her.  

I'm looking forward to the wedding!

{Sarah & David: Engagement}

My niece is getting married next summer and we recently spent a Saturday morning together making their engagement photos.  Her fiance lives several hours away and so I haven't had the opportunity to spend much time getting to know him, unfortunately.  Quite honestly, I was a bit nervous.  Within the first five minutes, my worries faded.  We fell into a great rhythm.  They walked ahead with his bike in tow (they met at a BMX race) and I followed....smiling and giggling with them.  We wandered all over downtown chatting and teasing each other....telling stories...getting to know one another.  

Here's what I found about these two lovebirds:

They adore one another.

They make each other laugh endlessly. (He's like Owen Wilson funny!!) 

They have incredible respect for each other.

They are good friends.

They are SO EXCITED to be getting married next summer!!
